We have updated our launch date to October 16th, 2025.
This short delay was necessary after discovering a few issues with our selected hosting provider. Instead of rushing, we decided that it’s more important to ensure your data is hosted with a reputable provider that operates in a jurisdiction that truly respects privacy and resists mass surveillance.
What changed:
- We are finalizing a move to a vetted hosting partner located in Switzerland.
- We’re performing additional checks to ensure physical and legal protections meet our standards.
- VPN and other add-ons remain planned; we’ll announce supported providers when we’re ready.
Why this matters:
We won’t compromise on the legal protections and operational practices that keep your data safe. Choosing the right provider and jurisdiction reduces the risk of mass-surveillance exposure and ensures stronger user rights.
Thanks for your patience — we’ll share another update when deployment is complete or if anything else changes.
Editor’s note (November 2025): After further evaluation, we chose Hetzner DE (Germany) as our infrastructure partner rather than a Swiss host — primarily for cost reasons and because EU law (GDPR + BDSG) provides equally strong, enforceable privacy protections. Swiss infrastructure at the quality level we required was significantly more expensive, and the practical privacy benefit over a well-run EU/German provider is minimal for most users. See our FAQ for current infrastructure details.
